At the core of the project in North Adams is the concept of remediation. Remediation is a bit of a neutral term, but in the environment, it refers to coping with historical pollution and cleaning it, remediating it, hiding, and overcoming it. The question must be then, what is the physical remediation of North Adams required in order to achieve that. This project moves around the adaptive reuse of a Historical mill and master planning of the entire site around it.
